• Cernimiento de Cancer Oral, San Juan, PR, 10/2023, Offer oral cancer screenings for the members of the San Juan community along with members of the Prosthodontics Interest Group.
• Good Samaritan Community Center Mentor, San Antonio, TX, 10/2018, 05/2019, Mentor and tutor two 4th graders after school hours once a week. Motivate and help young students from underserved areas of San Antonio to engage in their learning experiences with the hope that in the future they can graduate high school and apply to college.
• Continuing The Heritage Semi-Annual Day of Service, San Antonio, TX, 03/2017, 05/2019, Prepare for service events through collaboration with non-profit organization to identify needs and lead 15 to 30 peers in service activities on day of event.
• Basura Bash, San Antonio, TX, 02/2017, Work with volunteers to clean the surroundings of the different communities in the San Antonio area. The event takes place 2 times a year and we collaborate with non-profit organizations such as Good Samaritan Community Services.
• Project Smiles, San Antonio, TX, 10/2015, Work with volunteers to educate elementary school students in the San Antonio community on the importance of Dental Hygiene. Prepare educational activities that engage elementary school students into learning about the importance of Dental Hygiene.

• Lipid Lowering Agents Used In Periodontitis and Diabetes Study , Universidad de Puerto Rico-Recinto de Ciencias Medicas, San Juan, PR, 01/2022, Study coordinator and research assistant to Dr. Oelisoa M. Andriankaja. Working remotely using different advanced technologies to manage the project in order to report, develop, renew the project’s protocols and documents submitted to the IRB and planning the logistics for the transfer of biological samples to be analyzed in the laboratory.
• Prevalencia de Síntomas de Ansiedad, Depresión y Niveles de Estrés Entre Los Profesionales de La Salud Ejerciendo Durante la Pandemia de Covid-19 en Puerto Rico, Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Ciencias Medicas, San Juan, PR, 05/2021, 11/2021, Conduct a cross-sectional study focused on the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the mental health of doctors and nurses that were actively working during COVID. Developed an online survey using the REDcap platform and abiding by the PHQ-9 (Patient Health Questionnaire 9), GAD-7 (General Anxiety Disorder) and PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale). Work together with the College of Nursing Professionals of Puerto Rico and the College of Medical Professionals of Puerto Rico to reach participants through their email database.
• Dental Care for the Intelectually Disabled, Texas A&M School of Dentistry, Dallas, TX, 03/2018, 06/2018, Conduct literary research, in person interviews, and develop a presentation on the effects of the lack of dental care available for intellectually disabled patients. Interview Dr. Johnathan Clementson on his experience treating underserved dental communities such as patients that are terminally ill or intellectually disabled.
• The Effects of Beta Tubulin II in Cytokine Secretion in Mouse Monocyte Cells, St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, TX, 01/2018, 04/2018, Conduct a Cellular and Molecular Methods research along with Dr. Veronica Contreras-Shannon Ph. D on the possible effects of Beta Tubulin II in Cytokine Secretion. Conduct processes such as Immunofluorescence for detection and localization of antigens, ELISA for the detection of antibodies and qPCR to measure the intensity of the fluorescence emitted and quantify nucleic acids.
