Performed thorough history and physical exams to determine if the volunteers met the conditions of a viable candidate. Also, monitored the volunteers during blood collection in case first aid was needed. Assisted more than 100 volunteers each shift, during which I was able to work on my empathy and clinical skills. Around 20% of the volunteers were unable to donate because they had STDs. For this reason, we offered educational talks to every volunteer about disease prevention and health promotion.
