Eduarda Regina Barcelos

She has taken on responsibility of guiding and closely monitoring high school students who are taking the first steps in their research projects within renowned Institutional Scholarship Program for Scientific Initiation (PIBIC) at Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná.
Her role involves a deep commitment to guiding these young researchers through each stage of their research process. She is there to offer individualized support, encourage critical thinking and provide expert guidance as needed. In addition, she acts as a facilitator in identifying resources and connecting students with their advisor, ensuring that they have all the tools they need to carry out their research successfully.

Responsible for the creation and ongoing execution of CCS (Community of Care for the Feeling), a broad and impactful project aimed at the mental health of students at Colégio Nossa Senhora Medianeira.
In this initiative, she leads a team made up of 20 dedicated members.
CCS's main objective is to offer effective mental health support to students by creating and maintaining a safe and active listening network to meet their daily needs. As well as providing emotional support. The project seeks to develop strategies to promote students' mental well-being, providing resources and tools to help deal with emotional challenges and build resilience. The team's aim is to create a school environment where students feel understood, supported and empowered to face the emotional challenges of academic and personal life.

She has been approved for the Institutional Junior Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná, where she is a researcher in the area of human rights. Her work focuses on "Ecofeminism and the role of girls in environmental struggles". Her article is currently being submitted for publication in a scientific journal, representing a significant milestone in her academic journey.

During high school, she held the roles of class representative and tutor in subjects such as physics, mathematics, philosophy and history. As a class leader and tutor, she played an essential role in helping classmates with school subjects, facilitating the integration of new students, resolving conflicts faced by the class and serving as an effective channel of communication between students and the coordinator.

Active participation in more than seven debates, representing different nationalities, in simulations of United Nations bodies. She was selected by her school to represent them at the collegiate Model UN of the Brazilian Jesuit Network and at Unicuritiba University. She also had the honor of being chosen as the best delegate in the Model UN held at her own school.
These opportunities provided a challenging and enriching environment where she could hone her negotiation, argumentation and diplomacy skills while representing different international perspectives and interests.

Active engagement in a 4-day immersive volunteer experience in a community in the interior of Paraná, where she immersed herself deeply in the local reality and became actively involved in significant social initiatives aimed at the well-being of underprivileged children in the region.

Invited to speak at two bootcamps about her experience at the Latin American Leadership Academy.

Approved and hired by LALA to work on two of its bootcamps, playing crucial roles in both functions. As Trainee Manager and Alumni Relations Coach, she was in charge of managing and organizing all the logistics of the program, as well as overseeing relations between staff and participants. This wide-ranging role involved ensuring the operational efficiency of the courses and providing ongoing support to the participants, from the organization to the end of the program.

Only five students were chosen from the entire high school student body to take part in the Encontro de Formação Integral (EFI) in Rio Grande do Sul. The EFI is an immersive experience that addresses themes such as self-knowledge, leadership, spirituality and education. For 10 days, in a rural setting, participants have the opportunity to get involved in wide-ranging activities alongside students from all over Brazil, to create a project to develop at their school.
This selection represents an acceptance rate of just 1.7%.

Intensive immersion course in entrepreneurship for social impact, offered by the School of The New York Times, on the campus of Fordham University, New York. She was awarded with a scholarship to learn how to create a company based on social aid, requiring the development and presentation of a business plan at the end of the course.

She acted as manager, organizing the team to publicize opportunities for people without access, coordinating lives and meetings with renowned professionals and producing videos for the projects' social networks.

Creator and manager of an enterprise with more than 150 registered sales. Responsible for general administration, direct communication with customers, advertising strategies and marketing of children's kits for customizing tie-dye t-shirts during the pandemic lockdown period.

She participated in the project aimed at providing individualized support to low-income students interested in international opportunities. She acted as a volunteer mentor, offering personalized guidance, sharing insights and relevant information to help these students achieve their educational and professional goals.
