A Network Specialist manages an organization's computer network.

  • Duties include being an operator-maintainer of multi-channel transmission systems, installing, operating, and performing unit-level maintenance on tropospheric scatter communications systems, communications security devices (COMSEC), and associated equipment.
  • Handle the installation of tactical fiber and cabling, and help troubleshoot and redesign associated network assets to meet operational requirements.
  • Install networked communications and computer equipment, troubleshoot, and assist security specialists in developing more effective security protocols.
