I am driven and consistently reliable. My past Management experience has helped me learn a number of skills that are useful at any level of employment. Mainly organization. This includes responding to emails and task completion. I am also skilled at communication. Working with others is one of my strongest characteristics. Spending many years in a leadership roll has thought me how to get the end result. Enthusiastic individual experienced in resolving conflicts and issues with exceptional skill and poise. As a Foreman of a Substation crew in Puerto Rico my job duties have been but not limited to,
Inspecting site damage, planning repairs, locating materials, coordinating outages and boundary points, JHAs, crew safety and adherence to proper procedure , inspections of PPE, equipment, grounds, first aid, AEDs, and any other tools that the crew may need to complete our task safely.
Some of the administrative duties include checking into and out of the station, time sheets daily, progress reports daily with photos for FEMA reimbursement, meetings attendance regularly, submission of time off request.
These responsibilities are in addition to work as a Journeyman Substation Technician.
Journeyman Sub Techs have many responsibilities while on the job. Punctuality in proper uniform with your tools required to do the job is your first duty and most be done daily. knowing oneself well enough to know when you may not be fit for duty, along with per-checking other coworkers not just at the start of the day but throughout. participation in the JHA, quality of work performed, proper instructions to any apprentice or groundhand you may be working with you. Awareness of changing conditions though out the day.
As a Ground-Hand I was responsible for stocking coolers, checking all tools for the day were loaded on the truck, most of the labor intensive task, along with cleanliness of the jobsite, and care of the vehicles and equipment .
· After a few years of over the road driving I found myself wanting to spend some time at home. I was offered a job as a cook at Miller's Alehouse where I worked my way up to the AGM position. I was very successful with this company. I quickly became Kitchen Manger and was given their flag ship store near the Disney property. Even after my promotions to Bar Manager and soon after AGM I oversaw training any new manager on the proper way to run a Miller's Alehouse kitchen. Alas after 16 years a lost my passion for the work and needed a change before I got to old to start something new. This is when a family member talked me in to giving line work a shot. It was difficult to go from the top to the bottom, but it was a diction I do not retreat.
