Course Projects

ESP32 Temperature Measurement

  • Involved creating a temperature measurement system that collected and posted real time data, from a sensor on a ESP32 microprocessor, to a server. Using Node-Red the user was able to see the data displayed on a UI and AWS was used for cloud infraestructure.

Inventory System App

  • The project involved designing, implementing, and testing the backend of an application for managing an inventory system. The data was organized using a relational database system and exposed to client applications through a REST API. The backend was developed using Flask in Python, with PostgreSQL as the chosen database engine. Alongside meeting specified functional requirements, a web-based dashboard using Voila was implemented to showcase pertinent system statistics.

FPGA Calculator

  • The project involved designing, simulating, and implementing a functional calculator. The calculator utilized hardware components present on a Basys3 FPGA board, including the 7-segment display, switches, and push buttons and an external PMOD Keypad as input. Its functionality was configured using Verilog HDL to enable arithmetic operations and user interaction, providing a practical tool for computation.
