As the senior maintenance technician, I responded as the technical lead of the plant's injection department, which handled PET and HDPE resin. This put me in charge of eight injection presses, four material drying systems, material handling and optical inspection systems.

Duties:

  • Lead the injection department personnel (PM Technicians, Maintenance Technicians and operators) by organizing and scheduling all technical tasks, such as scheduling preventive maintenance structure, scheduling equipment rebuilds and repairs and provide technical training to all injection department employees.
  • Set-up and management of all equipment processes (from mechanical to software setup) to ensure optimal part quality and optimal equipment function.
  • Organize and schedule tasks, completely involved with every task necessary along with the team, such as preventive maintenance, mold/equipment rebuilds and repairs, as well as mold/product changeovers
  • Perform calibration of mechanical and electrical components such as additive injecting equipment, injection press hardware, pneumatic switches, water valves and weight scales
